Zuerst muss die schmutzige Kette mit Hilfe eines Tuchs gesäubert werden...

1. Möglichkeit: Kettenöl
Die Kette mit der Pedale drehen und dabei das Öl auf die Kette geben. Danach die Kette ein paar mal drehen und evtl. überschüssiges Öl mit dem Tuch von der Kette entfernen. Fertig!...

2. Möglichkeit: Gleitmittel
Auch lässt sich die Kette mit Hilfe eines Gleitmittels schmieren, welches den Dreck nicht so anzieht. Es hinterlässt keine Öl-Spritzer am Rahmen oder Rad und kann auf alle beweglichen Teile der Schalt...

Hallo toecutter, du hast schon recht, Nähmaschinenöl tut es auch. Jedoch muss man die Kette dann wesentlich öfter neu schmieren, da es sich schneller wieder abwäscht und "abnutzt" als spezielles Kettenöl.

Hallo Racetiger.
Was empfiehlts du zum Ölen, Spezial-Kettenöl aus dem nächsten Fahrradladen? Bei mir hats meisten auch normals Nähmaschinenöl getan. Macht vielleicht nicht so viel her, erfüllt aber den Zweck!? G.T.

Eine Fahrradkette sollte regelmäßig gewartet werden. Dazu gehört das Ölen der Kette. Ich öle alle 150km, nach einer Regenfahrt sofort!
